Ahmedabad: Chief Justice Sunita Agarwal of the Gujarat High Court bid farewell to the High Court on Monday at a farewell reference, with a message for young lawyers and women in the profession, following the notification of her elevation to the Supreme Court of India [Farewell reference: Chief Justice Sunita Agarwal, Gujarat High Court].

A message to women lawyers
Addressing women lawyers, Chief Justice Agarwal said:
“Do not allow circumstances, expectations and doubts of others to determine the limits of your achievements.”
Advice to the young Bar
To young members of the Bar she said:
“Grab whatever opportunities that come your way. Read a lot, prepare well. As if each case were your first.”
Reflecting on her tenure
Reflecting on her time at the Gujarat High Court, she said:
“Last 3 years have been a turning point for my professional and personal growth…these years taught me to keep going despite difficulties.”
