The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the elevation of three High Court Chief Justices, Sunita Agarwal of Gujarat, Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya of Delhi and Aparesh Kumar Singh of Telangana, as Judges of the Supreme Court.
Justice Neranahalli Srinivasan Sanjay Gowda took oath as a judge of the Gujarat High Court, following his transfer from the Karnataka High Court. This move is part of the Supreme Court’s initiative to enhance diversity and inclusivity in the judiciary. Justice Gowda’s extensive legal experience is expected to benefit the Gujarat High Court.
