The Delhi High Court granted interim bail to Baramulla MP Sheikh Abdul Rashid, known as Engineer Rashid, from June 25 to June 30 for participating in his father’s post-death rituals, while directing him to surrender after expiry of previously granted interim bail linked to last rites.

Baramulla MP Abdul Rashid Sheikh’s counsel approached the Delhi High Court seeking a modification of his interim bail order. He requested permission to travel to Delhi to meet his ailing father, recently shifted from Srinagar to AIIMS Delhi.

Today, On 12th August, The Delhi High Court has asked the Delhi Police to explain the travel expenses imposed on Jammu and Kashmir MP Engineer Rashid. The court wants clarity on the basis of the calculations mentioned in the police communication.
