Jr NTR has said he will take every possible legal action against those who created and those who are spreading an AI-morphed video from the song Chuttamalle featuring him and Janhvi Kapoor, calling on the Centre and the States to act against such misuse of artificial intelligence.

New Delhi: Actor Jr NTR has publicly condemned an AI-generated, morphed video built from footage of Chuttamalle, his song with Janhvi Kapoor from Devara: Part 1, and has warned that those behind its creation and circulation will face legal action. He made the statement in a post on X on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
The manipulated video has been circulating widely on X over the past few days. The actor’s post does not say under which law or before which forum he intends to proceed, and no legal proceeding has been announced so far.
The statement
Describing the video as “Disgusting, Sick and Shameless”, Jr NTR said that some people had fallen so low that they were using AI to disrespect a woman in the most degrading way possible. He then addressed those responsible directly:
“To the scumbags behind this morphed Chuttamalle video, I will not spare any of you. I will take every possible legal action against those who created it and those who are spreading it.”
He asked the public not to watch, share or engage with such content, warning that what is happening to one person today could tomorrow happen to someone’s mother, sister, wife or daughter.
Call for regulation
Concluding his statement, the actor called on the State and Central Governments to take strong action against the misuse of AI and to introduce stricter regulation to prevent the creation and circulation of such content.
Why the statement matters
The statement adds to a series of recent complaints by public figures about AI-generated deepfakes. In recent weeks, the Delhi High Court has dealt with personality-rights suits in which it directed the takedown of deepfake content and, in one case, of obscene and sexually explicit content, while declining blanket injunctions. Whether Jr NTR takes recourse to a civil suit, a criminal complaint or both is yet to be seen, and the allegations about the video’s origin and circulation are yet to be tested before any authority.
