In a significant development highlighting the growing legal challenges posed by artificial intelligence, a civil suit has been filed before the Delhi High Court concerning the alleged misuse of MP Dr. Shashi Tharoor’s personality and publicity rights through AI-generated deepfake videos.

The matter involves the circulation of manipulated content that falsely depicts Dr. Tharoor making politically sensitive statements without any authorisation.
