Today, On 4th November, Sanjay Roy, accused in the RG Kar rape case, claims he has been framed as trial proceedings are set to start on November 11. The charges against him include serious allegations supported by digital and material evidence, including CCTV footage and forensic findings linking him to the crime scene involving a murdered trainee doctor.
The High Court Bar Association is advocating for the appointment of local lawyers as judges in order to better represent the local legal community and address regional issues. They also outlined demands for advocate protection, medical insurance, and infrastructure support, which received positive feedback from the Union Law Minister.
