A PIL has been filed in the Supreme Court demanding the deportation of illegal immigrants, including Rohingyas. Justice Surya Kant advised Advocate Ashwini Upadhyay to place the matter before the special bench.
A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed in the Supreme Court of India, asking for the deportation of illegal immigrants who are staying in the country without valid documents.
This matter is seen as very sensitive, especially because it is related to the issue of Rohingya refugees living in different parts of India.

The PIL was filed by Advocate Ashwini Upadhyay, who has been actively involved in many public interest cases in the past.
However, there is concern over whether this case will be taken up soon by the court.
During a court hearing, Advocate Ashwini Upadhyay said,
“I doubt this matter will be taken up… it’s related to the Rohingya issue.”
This shows that he is unsure if the bench will treat the case as a priority, considering the sensitive nature of the matter.
In response to his concern, Justice Surya Kant, who was present during the court proceedings, advised him on what to do next.
He said,
“You should mention it before the special bench.”
This means that the case should be placed before the appropriate bench that deals with sensitive and important matters like this one.
The PIL highlights concerns over the increasing number of illegal immigrants in India, especially from countries like Myanmar.
The petitioner believes that these immigrants may pose risks to national security and affect the resources meant for Indian citizens.
The demand for deportation comes from the argument that no one without valid legal documents should be allowed to stay in the country.
This case is likely to bring up discussions on the balance between national security and human rights, especially in the context of refugee protection under international and Indian law.
