Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s brother, Faizuddin Siddiqui, arrested in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, on charges of cheating. The arrest followed a complaint lodged against him for allegedly defrauding an individual. Details of the complaint and the specific nature of the cheating have not been disclosed.
Muzaffarnagar: The Budhana town police have reported the arrest of Ayazuddin Siddiqui, the elder brother of Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, in connection with a cheating case.
SHO Anand Dev Mishra stated,
“According to SHO Anand Dev Mishra of Budhana Police Station, Ayazuddin Siddiqui was apprehended and promptly incarcerated on Tuesday. This action stems from his involvement in a fraud case that was officially reported over a month prior. The complainant asserts that Siddiqui illicitly submitted fabricated documents from the district magistrate’s court to the Consolidation Department’s office in December 2023. Subsequent investigation confirmed the veracity of these claims,”
Upon investigation, it revealed that Siddiqui purportedly submitted forged documents, including fake orders from the DM Court, to the Consolidation Department in Muzaffarnagar district.

Mishra stated,
“Following a complaint filed by Rajkumar, a diligent reader of the DM, an FIR was registered against the accused under sections 420 (pertaining to cheating) and 467 (related to forgery) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).”
Ayazuddin Siddiqui stands accused of forgery, specifically regarding counterfeit signatures, prompting official action. This course of action ensued subsequent to a complaint lodged with the District Magistrate.
Allegedly, Ayazuddin presented a falsified order from the DM Court to the Consolidation Department (Chakbandi Court) in Muzaffarnagar district.
Rajkumar, employed as a clerk at the DM Court, initiated legal proceedings against Ayazuddin and Javed Iqbal. Consequently, the Uttar Pradesh police apprehended Ayazuddin from Mohalla Qaziwara in Budhana.
The District Magistrate filed a complaint, leading to the registration of a case against Ayazuddin under Sections 420, 467, 468, and 471 of the Indian Penal Code. This incident isn’t the first instance where Nawazuddin Siddiqui‘s brother encountered legal issues.
Back in 2018, Ayazuddin Siddiqui faced allegations of causing offense to religious sentiments due to the sharing of an inappropriate photo on social media.
