AZB & Partners, India’s leading law firm, advised Meta Platforms, Inc. on its USD 900 million investment in Cred (Dreamplug Technologies Private Limited).
Cred operates technology-driven platforms that allow users to access a broad range of financial and digital services, including lending, investments, insurance, payments, e-commerce, and travel-related offerings. The transaction comprised both primary and secondary investments and coincided with the appointment of Kunal Shah as Global CEO of WhatsApp.
AZB & Partners handled the transaction end-to-end, including legal due diligence, structuring, competition/anti-trust analysis, drafting and negotiation of transaction documentation, regulatory assessment, and support through transaction closing.
