NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court of India has constituted 26 in-house committees, assigning sitting judges to crucial administrative, supervisory, and reform-oriented roles within the judiciary. These committees will oversee key domains such as finance, security, digitisation, technology integration, public interest litigations (PILs), mediation, library management, staff welfare, bar issues, and case flow management.
According to the official notification, the new committee compositions will take effect from November 25, December 8, and December 11, 2025, and will remain in force “till further orders.”
Key Objectives of the Supreme Court’s In-House Committees
The formation of these committees reflects the Supreme Court’s continued focus on:
- Strengthening judicial administration
- Improving institutional governance
