Judge Satyendra Nath Tripathi has scheduled the sentencing on June 7, when he is expected to announce the punishment.

Kanpur (UP): On 3rd June: An MP-MLA court in Kanpur convicted jailed Samajwadi Party MLA Irfan Solanki and four others for harassing a woman and setting her house on fire in an attempt to seize her property about 19 months ago, according to a senior police official.

Commissioner of Police Akhil Kumar informed that SP MLA Irfan Solanki, his brother Rizwan Solanki, builder Shauqat Ali, Mohammad Sharif, and Izrail alias ‘Aate wala’, all with extensive criminal records, were found guilty of setting fire to Nazir Fatima’s house to grab her plot, as well as harassing and abusing her.
The incident occurred on November 7, 2022. Irfan Solanki and Rizwan have been imprisoned since December 2 last year in relation to the case. They surrendered to the police commissioner after being charged with rioting and arson. Solanki, a four-time MLA, is currently held in Maharajganj jail.
