Paresh Rawal clarified that despite the Hera Pheri 3 legal dispute, he and Akshay Kumar continued shooting together professionally. He stressed that their long friendship and mutual respect remained unaffected by the controversy.
In the midst of ongoing discussions around the reported dispute linked to Hera Pheri 3, veteran actor Paresh Rawal has clarified that his professional and personal relationship with Akshay Kumar remains unaffected. The two actors, known for their long-standing association in Bollywood, have addressed speculation about a fallout with calm and maturity, emphasizing their professionalism and years of friendship.
The controversy began when Paresh Rawal announced his exit from Hera Pheri 3, which subsequently led to a legal dispute involving Akshay Kumar’s production house. While details of the legal tussle were not fully disclosed publicly, the situation drew attention within the film industry and among fans of the iconic franchise. Later, filmmaker Priyadarshan confirmed that the differences between the parties had been resolved, although the film’s production would take additional time to commence.
Amid this backdrop, the actors continued working together on other projects, reflecting a clear separation between professional commitments and any disagreements. Their latest collaboration includes Bhooth Bangla, which has generated anticipation among audiences. The film features an ensemble cast including Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, Wamiqa Gabbi, Mithila Palkar, and the late Asrani.
In a recent interview, Paresh Rawal spoke openly about working with Akshay Kumar during the period when reports of tension were circulating.
He stated,
“Bahut normal hai. Jab mann-mutaav chal raha tha tab bhi hum log saath mein shooting kar rahe the Welcome To The Jungle ki. Aisi koi baat nahin hai. Aisa koi haadsa nahin ho gaya hai, koi bhoochaal nahin aa gaya hai. We are professionals and we know (each other) for years. We are friends, to usmein koi aisi baat nahin hai. (Everything is normal. Even when there was tension, we were shooting together for Welcome To The Jungle. There’s nothing like that. There’s no tragedy, no earthquake here. We are professionals and we know [each other] for years. We are friends)”.
His remarks underline the legal and professional principle that disputes, even when escalated to formal proceedings, do not necessarily disrupt ongoing contractual or collaborative obligations in the entertainment industry. The continuation of joint projects such as Welcome to the Jungle demonstrates how industry professionals often maintain working relationships despite disagreements.
Further highlighting his respect for Akshay Kumar, Rawal added, “He is straightforward.” This brief but direct statement reflects the mutual understanding and respect that continues to define their association.
Overall, while the Hera Pheri 3 dispute did lead to legal complexities, the situation appears to have been resolved amicably. The actors’ continued collaboration signals stability and professionalism, reinforcing the idea that legal disagreements in the film industry can coexist with ongoing creative partnerships.
