Sonam Raghuvanshi and four aides were brought before a Shillong court for allegedly murdering her husband during their honeymoon. The arrests were made from Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

Shillong: Today, on June 11, in a shocking development, Sonam Raghuvanshi, a 24-year-old woman, along with four others, was presented before a court in Shillong on Wednesday in connection with the alleged murder of her husband, Indore-based businessman Raja Raghuvanshi.
The incident is believed to have taken place during their honeymoon in Meghalaya.
According to the police, Sonam was arrested from Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh, while her alleged accomplices were taken into custody from Indore in Madhya Pradesh.
They were all brought to Meghalaya on transit remand for further legal proceedings.
A senior police officer confirmed the arrests and the sequence of events.
the officer said,
“Sonam was taken to the northeastern state late on Tuesday while the four others were brought here on Wednesday on transit remand,”
The case has attracted nationwide attention due to its serious nature and the involvement of multiple people in what appears to be a well-planned conspiracy.
The police have alleged that Sonam and her co-accused conspired to kill her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi, while they were on their honeymoon.
The investigation began after the mysterious death of Raja in Meghalaya, which raised suspicions. Subsequent inquiries led the police to uncover evidence suggesting that the murder was premeditated and carried out with the help of others known to the accused.
the senior officer added,
“Sonam was arrested from Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh, while her aides were apprehended from Indore in Madhya Pradesh for their alleged role in conspiring and killing Raja Raghuvanshi,”
All the accused are now in police custody, and further investigation is underway.
Authorities are looking into the motive behind the crime and examining how the planning and execution took place. The prosecution is expected to present evidence in court soon, as the case proceeds through the legal system.
