A Bihar court granted interim protection to educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, in an anticipatory bail matter linked to an alleged vandalism incident outside his Patna coaching institute. The court extended the no coercive action order until the next hearing.

A Bihar court has granted interim protection to educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as ‘Khan Sir’, while hearing his anticipatory bail application in connection with the alleged firing and vandalism incident outside his coaching institute. The court continued the earlier ‘no coercive action’ order, directing the police not to take any immediate harsh action against Khan Sir until the next hearing in the matter.

The case relates to an incident reported on June 2 outside the Khan Global Studies Institute in Patna, where a group of individuals allegedly vandalised the coaching centre and pelted stones at the premises.

Following the incident, Patna Police registered an FIR against Faisal Khan and two other individuals. The case was filed under relevant provisions, including sections related to alleged abetment and the Arms Act. The FIR was registered after investigators examined evidence linked to the incident, including video footage from the spot.

According to the Patna Police statement, the incident took place at around 10:10 PM on June 2, when a group allegedly carried out stone-pelting and damaged property at the coaching centre.

The police stated:

“Following the incident, Case No. 410/26 was registered, and an investigation was launched. During the course of the probe, a video was recovered which showed two individuals engaging in aerial firing following the act of vandalism,”

After reviewing the footage, police identified two security guards associated with the institute and arrested them.

Officials said that the guards were identified based on video evidence, and weapons were also recovered as part of the investigation.

During the probe into the sequence of events, police included Khan Sir and two others as accused in the FIR, alleging their involvement under relevant legal provisions. The investigation was initiated after the alleged vandalism and firing incident, with authorities continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the clash.

Following the incident, Patna Police issued an appeal to students, urging them not to be influenced by conflicts or competition between coaching institutes.

The police emphasised:

“All students are requested not to be misled by anyone amidst coaching center competitions. No compromise will be made regarding crime control and the maintenance of law and order,”

Authorities also stated that maintaining public order and preventing criminal activities remained a priority.

With the latest order, Khan Sir has received temporary relief from any coercive police action until the next hearing. The court will further examine his anticipatory bail plea during the upcoming proceedings.

The case has drawn attention due to the involvement of a well-known educator and the allegations surrounding security, violence, and rivalry in Patna’s coaching sector.
