Today, On 13th May, JDS Leader HD Revanna granted bail in a kidnapping case. This development follows a period of legal scrutiny and hearings. Karnataka: In a kidnapping case, a local court granted bail to HD Revanna, an MLA from Janata Dal . The case related to the Karnataka sex scandal, which involves leaked pornographic videos, and his son Prajwal Revanna is one of the accused.
HD Revanna held in the custody of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) for three days after being arrested on May 4. The court required him to post a bail bond of Rs. 5 lakh. It is worth mentioning that HD Revanna, the son of HD Deve Gowda, a former prime minister. Allegations suggest that he assisted in the abduction of a victim who sexually assaulted and the case involves his son Prajwal Revanna.

During a hearing last Thursday, HD Revanna’s lawyer, CV Nagesh, argued that there, insufficient evidence against the MLA in the SIT’s petition. Nagesh claimed,
“HD Revanna should not have been arrested in the first place, as he could have been summoned for further questioning instead.”
The lawyer stated,
“There were no allegations of the survivor being coerced or ensnared. No ransom demands were made. HD Revanna, being a politician, is believed to have been arrested for political reasons. The incident occurred on April 29, with the FIR filed on May 2. There was no instance of kidnapping or unlawful confinement. The survivor, employed as a maid at HD Revanna’s residence, does not fit the criteria for kidnapping charges.”
Following the filing of a missing person’s report by the woman’s son, HD Revanna has been implicated, and the Karnataka Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against him in connection with the kidnapping. The woman in question said to be one of the survivors involved in his son’s sex tape scandal.
Satish Babu, a relative of HD Revanna, apprehended in the Mysuru district on Friday after being named as the second accused in the FIR.
