Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court has extended the judicial custody of Rajesh Khimji and his friend Tehseen Syed till October 6 in connection with the attack on the Delhi Chief Minister. Both were produced via video conferencing following their arrest by Delhi Police.

New Delhi: The Tis Hazari Court in Delhi on Monday extended the judicial custody of Rajesh Khimji and his friend Tehseen Syed in connection with the case related to the attack on the Delhi Chief Minister. The accused appeared before the court through video conferencing.
Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Gaurav Goyal extended the judicial custody of both Rajesh Khimji and Tehseen Syed till October 6.
Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) Advocate Pradeep Rana, along with Advocate Gagan Bhatnagar, appeared on behalf of the Delhi Police during the hearing.
Rajesh Khimji was arrested by the Delhi Police after allegedly attacking the Delhi Chief Minister during a Jan Sunvai held at her official residence in Civil Lines. Rajesh Khimji hails from Rajkot, Gujarat.
During the police investigation, his friend Tehseen Syed was also taken into custody. Both were remanded to judicial custody following police interrogation.
A case has been formally registered against Rajesh Khimji at the Civil Lines Police Station by the Delhi Police.
