Tej Pratap Yadav hints at taking the Yadav family feud to the Supreme Court after being expelled by Lalu Prasad. His explosive post targets both father and brother amid rising Bihar poll heat.

Bihar: Today, on June 19, in a new twist in Bihar politics, Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, has shared a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that many believe is a clear signal that he might approach the Supreme Court of India.

This comes shortly after he was expelled from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) by his father, who also allegedly removed him from the family.

In his emotional post, Tej Pratap uploaded a photo where he is seen wearing a white kurta and green cap, standing and gazing at a portrait of his father.

Along with this image, he wrote a strong message:

“Those who make the mistake of considering my silence as my weakness, do not think that I am unaware of your conspiracies, you started it and I will end it, I am going to break this labyrinth of lies and deceit, be ready, the truth is about to come out, my role will be decided by my beloved people and the honourable Supreme Court, not by any party or family…”

This statement is being viewed as a direct challenge not only to his father Lalu Prasad Yadav, but also to his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav, who is being seen as the next Chief Minister of Bihar.

With elections approaching in the state, the family feud has become a matter of public and political interest.

The reason for Tej Pratap’s expulsion was explained by Lalu Prasad Yadav as his son’s “public misconduct.”

Over the past few months, Tej Pratap has shared multiple emotional and controversial posts, especially after the “Anushka Yadav episode.” The distance between him and his family has widened ever since.

Tej Pratap had posted a photo on Facebook with a woman named Anushka Yadav, claiming that they were in a relationship for 12 years.

The post said,

“The one seen in this picture is Anushka Yadav. We have known each other for the last 12 years. We are in love and have been in a relationship for 12 years.”

However, after facing backlash, he deleted the post and later said that his account had been hacked. He alleged that there was a plan to defame him and create problems for his family. This incident reportedly played a role in Lalu Prasad’s decision to expel him, calling his behavior “irresponsible.”

Tejashwi Yadav, while speaking to reporters about the controversy, gave a calm response, stating,

“We cannot tolerate such things, we are working and are dedicated to the people of Bihar. If it’s about my big brother, political life and personal life are different. He has the right to make his personal decisions. He is an adult and free to make decisions.”

This is not the first time Tej Pratap has been in the news for personal matters. In 2018, only a few months after getting married to Aishwarya Rai, he filed for divorce. Aishwarya later accused him of domestic violence, drug abuse, and even claimed that he cross-dressed. The matter is still pending in the family court.

Reacting to the recent developments and Tej Pratap’s expulsion, Aishwarya Rai spoke to the media and said,

“Now they have suddenly had a social awakening. They are all together. They have not separated… The elections are near, that is why they have taken such a step and created this drama… I got information about my divorce from the media. All the information I got was through the media… I did not know what was going on… Ask them, what was the need to ruin my life? Where was their social justice when I was beaten?… Ask them, what about me?”

Aishwarya comes from a respected and well-established political family in Bihar. Her father, Chandrika Rai, has been an MLA six times and was also a minister.

Her grandfather, Daroga Prasad Rai, had served as the Chief Minister of Bihar. On the other hand, Tej Pratap’s educational qualifications are limited to Class 12.

The public reaction to Tej Pratap’s post has been mixed. Many social media users have commented, sharing their opinions. One of the thoughtful comments came from a user named Subodh Yadav, who wrote,

“He couldn’t understand the connection with the Supreme Court and questioned whether Tej Pratap planned to take legal action over being expelled from the party. He cautioned that such a move could harm the party itself and urged him to let it go, reminding him that family disputes are common and should be handled with maturity. He concluded by saying that moving forward would be a better sign than dragging the issue further.”
