A judicial commission cleared Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his family of any wrongdoing related to the alleged land allotment case involving the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA).
The panel, led by a former Karnataka High Court judge, submitted its findings to Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh on July 31.

Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister H K Patil, stated,
“We (the Cabinet) had constituted Justice P N Desai’s one-man commission, which has submitted its report in two volumes. The report makes it clear that there is no truth in allegations made against the chief minister and his family. It has also asked for action against certain officials on various accounts. We have accepted the report and its recommendations,”
The MUDA case involves claims regarding the allotment of 14 residential sites to Mr. Siddaramaiah’s wife in a prime area of Mysuru, intended as compensation for 3.16 acres of land allegedly “acquired” by MUDA.
It was contended that Ms. Parvathi lacked legal title over the 3.16 acres in Kasare village, which was reportedly a gift from her brother, Mallikarjuna Swamy who claimed to have purchased it from an individual named J Devaraju.
