In a deeply disturbing case that has shocked the nation, newlywed businessman Raja Raghuvanshi was murdered during his honeymoon, and the investigation has taken a horrifying turn.

As per police sources, Raja’s wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, allegedly plotted his murder just five days after their wedding. The shocking crime involved her reported lover and three of his friends, all of whom have now been arrested.

Raja Raghuvanshi, a businessman from Indore, had gone on a honeymoon with his wife Sonam after marrying her on May 11. But on May 23, the couple went missing while vacationing in Meghalaya.

One source close to the investigation made a chilling statement:

“Raja was killed in front of Sonam.”

Days later, on June 2, Raja’s body was found, confirming everyone’s worst fears. The tragedy took a darker turn when Sonam was arrested on June 9 from Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh.

Police have now revealed chilling details of the murder plot. Sources told Bhaskar English that Sonam and her lover, Raj Kushwaha, spoke for six continuous hours, from 9 PM on May 17 to 3 AM on May 18 — during which they allegedly planned Raja’s murder.

“Call records and witness statements indicate a six-hour phone conversation between Sonam and her alleged lover, Raj Kushwaha, from 9 pm to 3 am on May 17.”

This call is believed to be when the murder conspiracy was formed.

As per the investigation, the plan quickly moved forward. On the same day, May 17, Raj Kushwaha met three of his childhood friends, Akash Rajput, Vishal Singh Chauhan, and Anand Kurmi, all from Indore’s Nandbag area.

They chose a quiet café behind the TCS office on Indore’s Super Corridor for the meeting.

“This meeting took place at a cafe behind the TCS office on Indore’s Super Corridor, a secluded location chosen for its discretion.”

Police believe the four of them finalised the plan here — how to kill Raja, when to do it, and how to escape afterward without raising suspicion.

Their goal was to make the death look like an accident.

“Police believe the details of the murder plot were finalised at this meeting, including the method of attack, timing, and an escape strategy designed to make the crime appear accidental.”

What stands out is the speed and coordination of the entire operation. From a phone call to a real-life meeting, everything was executed in just a few hours, showing a high level of planning and urgency.

“The rapid progression from telephone planning to a face-to-face meeting underscored the apparent urgency and determination behind the alleged plot.”

As of now, five people have been arrested in this horrifying case, Sonam Raghuvanshi, Raj Kushwaha, Vishal Chauhan, Akash Rajput, and Anand Kurmi.

Investigations are still ongoing, with the police trying to confirm everyone’s exact role in the conspiracy.

“Investigations are ongoing to corroborate these details and ascertain the specific roles of each individual involved in this heinous crime.”
