What initially appeared to be an unexpected move has now taken a more serious turn. According to sources, a bomb threat letter was received by the High Court, claiming that an explosion could take place inside the court building on Friday afternoon.
Following the threat, judges stopped hearings immediately and left their courtrooms. Lawyers, litigants, and staff were seen exiting in a hurry as precautionary measures were put in place. A bomb disposal squad van was also deployed outside the court premises to ensure security.
The Delhi High Court is one of the busiest courts in the country, with hundreds of cases listed daily. The sudden evacuation and suspension of hearings have created a wave of concern among the legal fraternity as well as the general public.
As of now, official confirmation from the High Court administration is awaited, and security agencies are treating the matter with utmost seriousness.
