BHARAT: The Bar Council of India (BCI) officially announced that the 19th edition of the All India Bar Examination (AIBE XIX) is scheduled to take place on November 24, 2024. This crucial information was shared by the BCI through an official notification published on Tuesday.
As per the announcement, “the online registration for the examination will commence from September 3” on the BCI’s official website, providing aspiring candidates ample time to complete the necessary procedures.
The registration process will continue until “October 25”, which has been declared as the last date for submitting applications.
Regarding the payment of examination fees, candidates can make their payments through online mode until “October 28”.
For those needing to make any corrections or amendments to their registration details, the BCI has set the deadline for corrections to be “October 30”, allowing a brief window for adjustments.
In preparation for the examination, candidates will receive their admit cards via the online portal, with “November 18” marked as the release date for these crucial documents.
The minimum passing marks for the exam have also been specified. “Candidates from the General and Other Backward Class (OBC) categories will be required to secure at least 45%” to clear the examination. In contrast, a slightly lower threshold has been set for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and disabled candidates, for whom “40%” is the minimum passing percentage.
This upcoming examination will serve as a significant milestone for those aiming to practice law in India, and the BCI has provided clear guidelines to ensure that candidates are well-informed about the schedule and requirements.
