Karisma Kapoor’s son and daughter have approached the Delhi High Court seeking a share in their late father Sunjay Kapur’s massive Rs 30,000 crore estate. They allege stepmother Priya Kapur forged the will to take full control of the assets.
New Delhi: In a fresh twist to the long-running family fight over the massive Rs 30,000 crore property of late businessman Sunjay Kapur, his two children from his former marriage with Bollywood actor Karisma Kapoor have now approached the Delhi High Court asking for their rightful share in their father’s assets.
The children have directly accused their stepmother, Priya Kapur, who is Sunjay Kapur’s third wife, of forging his will and trying to take complete control of the entire estate.
Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur were married for 13 years, from 2003 until their divorce in 2016. From that marriage, they have a son and a daughter.
These two children, represented through their mother, have moved the court claiming that they have been unfairly left out of their father’s property by Priya Kapur after his sudden death in June this year while he was in the United Kingdom.
The civil suit filed before the High Court names Priya Kapur, her minor son, Sunjay Kapur’s mother Rani Kapur, and the so-called executor of the will, Shradha Suri Marwah, as defendants.
At the centre of the case is a disputed will dated 21 March 2025, which allegedly leaves Sunjay Kapur’s entire personal estate only to Priya Kapur. The children have alleged that this will is not genuine.
According to their case, Priya Kapur, along with two associates, Dinesh Agarwal and Nitin Sharma, deliberately suppressed this will for more than seven weeks and only showed it at a family meeting on 30 July 2025.
The petition argues that the will is completely forged. In their words,
“The Plaintiffs submit that the purported will allegedly executed by the Plaintiffs’ father is not a legal and valid document, is forged and fabricated and in any event surrounded by suspicious circumstances. It is for this reason that neither the original of the Alleged Purported Will has been shown to the Plaintiffs nor a copy of the Alleged Purported Will has been provided.”
The children have further alleged that Priya Kapur’s behaviour clearly shows that she is trying to take over all of Sunjay Kapur’s estate for herself, leaving out the other legal heirs. The plea describes it as an attempt to “usurp full control” of the assets.
Through their petition, the children have asked the Delhi High Court to formally declare them as Class I legal heirs of their late father under the Hindu Succession Act.
They have requested the Court to pass a partition decree granting them one-fifth share each in Sunjay Kapur’s estate.

As an urgent interim measure, they have also sought an order to freeze all personal assets of Sunjay Kapur until the matter is decided, so that the property is not disturbed or misused in the meantime.
The suit has been filed on behalf of the children by advocates Shantanu Aggarwal of Lexster Law LLP and Madhulika Rai Sharma.
