A 26-year-old Delhi High Court advocate, Rajesh Singh, reportedly died after allegedly jumping from the 15th floor of a Connaught Place hotel in New Delhi. Police said they have begun investigating the circumstances surrounding his tragic death today.
A 26-year-old advocate of the Delhi High Court, identified as Rajesh Singh, reportedly died after allegedly jumping from the 15th floor of a hotel in New Delhi’s Connaught Place area, police said on Monday.
Police stated that they were alerted to the incident at The Royal Plaza hotel at around 9:15 pm on Sunday.
Rajesh Singh, a practising lawyer at the Delhi High Court, had checked into the hotel the previous evening.

A police statement said,
“A police team rushed to the hotel and found that the victim, identified as Rajesh Singh, a resident of Mahavir Enclave, had allegedly jumped from the 15th floor of the building,”
It said,
“The family members of the deceased have been informed about the incident. As per their statement, no foul play is suspected in the matter,”
A police officer involved in the investigation said a purported suicide note was also recovered, in which the advocate did not mention blaming anyone. Police added that he was staying alone in the room.
Crime unit personnel and the forensic science laboratory (FSL) were called to the spot to inspect the scene. Investigators lifted and collected relevant evidence, and reviewed CCTV footage from within the hotel premises, police said.
A police source further said it is suspected that the man was dealing with depression related to certain issues. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
