On August 13, the MP-MLA court in Sultanpur issued a non-bailable warrant against Sanjay Singh, Samajwadi Party leader Anoop Sanda, and four others.

A Sultanpur court in Uttar Pradesh ordered the arrest of Sanjay Singh on August 20 in connection with a 23-year-old case, instructing the police to present him before the court on August 28. The court expressed strong disapproval of Sanjay Singh’s absence from the hearing of this two-decade-old case.

Earlier, on August 13, the MP-MLA court issued a non-bailable warrant against Singh, Samajwadi Party leader Anoop Sanda, and four others, with the hearing set for Tuesday. However, the accused did not appear before the court.

A court officer stated,

“The court has directed the police to arrest all the accused and produce them in court by August 28,”

Their advocate, Madan Singh, mentioned that a bail petition for Singh and Sanda has been submitted to the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court, with a hearing scheduled for August 22.
