Khaitan & Co, one of India’s leading law firms, has advised Vama Sundari Investments (Delhi) Private Limited, an investment company of the HCL Group, on its major joint venture with Foxconn Hon Hai Technology India Mega Development Private Limited.
The collaboration aims to set up and operate a large outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) facility in India, strengthening the country’s semiconductor manufacturing capabilities.
According to the firm, Khaitan & Co supported Vama Sundari Investments throughout the transaction.
This included advising, negotiating, and finalising key definitive agreements, such as the joint venture agreement and the technology licence agreement that will govern the semiconductor project.
