The Delhi High Court has refused interim relief to journalist Anjana Om Kashyap and TV Today Network in their Rs 2 crore defamation suit against Khan Sir and others. Justice Madhu Jain listed the matter for further hearing on July 2.

Aaj Tak Managing Editor Anjana Om Kashyap and TV Today Network have filed a ₹2 crore defamation suit in Delhi High Court against Khan Sir and 4PM News, alleging defamatory remarks. The plea cites “insults, ridicule, contempt and public hostility” through abusive language.
Delhi High Court ordered Newslaundry to remove abusive and disparaging remarks against TV Today and its channels. Court said such content can cause “irreparable harm” and deserves immediate legal protection.
The Delhi High Court strongly criticised Newslaundry journalist Manisha Pande for using the word “shit” while commenting on TV Today Network’s content, calling it gross and indecent. The Court warned that such language could invite serious observations and orders that may severely affect her professional career.
The Delhi High Court has made permanent its order stopping a YouTube channel from impersonating Anjana Om Kashyap through deepfake-style videos. The Court said such fake channels can cause serious harm and spread misinformation.
The Delhi High Court has refused to discharge TV Today Network in a criminal defamation case filed by BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri over a 2011 Aaj Tak report, upholding the Magistrate’s order. The Court ruled that once summons are issued in a summons trial, the Magistrate cannot recall or annul the order.
TV Today Network has filed a lawsuit against ABP News in the Delhi High Court, claiming the name ‘Maha Dangal’ for its show too closely resembles ‘Dangal’, hosted by Priyanka Tripathi. The court noted ‘Dangal’ can’t be trademarked, suggesting mediation for resolution, while highlighting branding issues in Indian TV news.
