It highlighted delays in taking statements, registering the case, and lack of action against the school authorities. The Court emphasized the need for prompt action under the POCSO Act and counseling for the victims.
Today(on 22nd July), A Bengaluru court granted conditional bail to JD(S) MLC Suraj Revanna in a sexual abuse case, with conditions including surrendering his passport and attending regular meetings with the investigation officer. Revanna, who was arrested last month, is accused of sexually abusing two men.
JD(S) MLC Suraj Revanna, grandson of former PM HD Deve Gowda, was held in CID custody until July 1 by a Bengaluru court following his arrest for alleged sexual abuse. A man accused him of coercing homosexual acts, leading to charges under IPC Sections 377, 342, and 506. The CID sought his custody for additional inquiry.
Today, On 29th May, The Special Investigation Team (SIT) challenged HD Revanna’s bail in a high-profile case involving sexual abuse and kidnapping. Revanna faces serious allegations, and the SIT argues that the lower court made an error in granting bail. The case is set to be heard on May 31st by the Karnataka High Court. Additionally, Revanna has filed petitions seeking to quash the FIRs against him.
MLA HD Revanna was granted bail today in a sexual abuse case involving him and his son. The bail condition includes a personal bond of Rs 5 lakh with two sureties and full cooperation with the ongoing investigation. This follows his bail in a separate kidnapping case related to the sexual abuse allegations against his son, Prajwal Revanna.
