The Bombay High Court reserved judgment on a plea by Rahul Gandhi seeking to quash a defamation case over remarks on Narendra Modi. Justice N.R. Borkar heard the matter arising from a 2019 magistrate order.
Rahul Gandhi was granted bail by a Nashik court in a defamation case over remarks on V D Savarkar during the 2022 Bharat Jodo Yatra. He appeared via video link and pleaded “not guilty” to the charges.
