CJI Surya Kant said it is worrying that a large number of law graduates are choosing corporate jobs over court practice. He urged students to gain real courtroom experience and contribute to the Bar and Bench.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said legislative drafting is a specialised science and art that shapes how laws function. He stressed that India urgently needs committed and professionally trained experts to draft clear and effective legislation.
Supreme Court judge B. V. Nagarathna said moot courts and practical training build confident advocates, strengthening legal education, advocacy skills, courtroom practice, and professional ethics. Delhi University and Nirmal Luthra Foundation highlighted law education and future careers in India.
