The Delhi High Court has indicated that Priya Kapur cannot block forensic inspection of the Will allegedly executed by late industrialist Sunjay Kapur. The move strengthens Karisma Kapoor’s stand as the court fixed February 5 for further proceedings.
Priya Kapur, wife of late industrialist Sunjay Kapur, has filed a criminal defamation case in Delhi’s Patiala House Court against her sister-in-law Mandhira Kapur Smith, stating that such imputations strike at her honour, womanhood and social standing deeply.
The Supreme Court has sought actor Karisma Kapoor’s response on a plea filed by Priya Kapur seeking access to divorce-related records between Karisma and her late husband Sunjay Kapur. The documents have been sought for use in an ongoing succession dispute over Sunjay Kapur’s estate pending before the Delhi High Court.
Priya Sachdev has moved the Supreme Court seeking certified copies of the 2016 divorce proceedings between Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur. She wants access to records detailing the financial settlement and child custody arrangements made during their separation.

The Delhi High Court has granted time till December 24 to Karisma Kapoor and Rani Kapur to file written submissions in the Sunjay Kapur estate dispute. The case will be taken up further after final arguments are placed on record.
In Delhi High Court, Senior Advocate Mahesh Jethmalani highlighted irregularities in the Sanjay Kapur will, calling the family’s claims an “attempted but stupid fabrication,” strengthening Karisma Kapoor’s position in the inheritance dispute. The matter is now posted for next week’s hearing.
Karisma Kapoor informed the Delhi High Court that her daughter’s school fees have remained unpaid for two months during the ongoing Sunjay Kapur estate battle. The court advised all parties to avoid melodrama and concentrate on resolving the dispute calmly and responsibly.
Today, On 15th October, Priya Sachdev Kapur appeared before the Delhi High Court , defending her late husband Sunjay Kapur’s will. She stated the document is genuine and that mere typographical errors cannot invalidate the will under the law.
Today, On 25th September, Karisma Kapoor’s kids have moved the Delhi High Court seeking their share of Rs30K crore in the Sunjay Kapur estate. The court observed, “As alleged beneficiaries, children must verify assets,” stressing their right to examine the estate.
