The Supreme Court has dismissed music composer Ilaiyaraaja’s special leave petition against the Delhi High Court Division Bench order upholding an injunction against use of a recreated version of the song ‘En Iniya Pon Nilave’, finding no error in the interlocutory order but clarifying that the High Court’s observations are only prima facie. The dispute is between Saregama India Limited and Vels Film International Limited, which claims a licence from Ilaiyaraaja.
