The Bombay High Court refused to restrain Tata Play from using the name “Tata Play Astro Duniya” for its astrology channel. Justice Sharmila U Deshmukh held no prima facie trademark infringement in the plea by astrologer Rajeev Prakash Agarwal.
Bombay High Court granted interim protection to Sunil Biyani, non-executive director of Future Group, in a Rs 1,200-crore GST scam case, restraining arrest for one week. Justice N. R. Borkar held that without Section 69 CGST arrest order, bail premature.
The Supreme Court warned against turning failed relationships into rape cases, calling it a worrying misuse of criminal law. It said consensual intimacy in a genuine relationship cannot later be labelled as rape just because marriage did not happen.
