The Supreme Court appointed its former judge Hrishikesh Roy as the Bihar Cricket Association ombudsman after Justice Abhay S Oka declined to continue, saying the role involved an adjudicatory function he preferred not to undertake at this time.
The Supreme Court strongly criticised the Bihar Cricket Association, calling its disputes “dirty politics” and a “waste of public revenue,” while appointing former Supreme Court judge L. Nageswara Rao as the new Ombudsman to ensure smooth functioning.
