He completed his education in Commerce and Law, began his career in his father’s law office, and has held significant positions, including Chief Justice of the Manipur High Court.
Justice P.S. Narasimha, born on May 3, 1963, assumed office as a Supreme Court Judge on August 31, 2021. He has authored 59 judgments and notably contributed to landmark cases and legal reforms. He will become Chief Justice of India in October 2027, being appointed directly from the bar.
Justice J.K. Maheshwari, born on June 29, 1961, has served on the Supreme Court since August 31, 2021. He authored 41 judgments, including significant cases related to the Bhopal Gas Tragedy and divorce rights. Previously, he was Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh and Sikkim High Courts, noted for diligent service and innovation.
Today, On 25th November, Justice M. Jagannadha Rao, a former Supreme Court judge, passed away on November 25 at the age of 88. Renowned for his contributions to legal reforms in India, he was the father of current Jharkhand High Court Chief Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao. His career included pivotal roles in several High Courts and the Law Commissions.
On November 21, the Andhra Pradesh Assembly unanimously approved a resolution to establish a High Court bench in Kurnool, introduced by Minister N Md Farooq. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu confirmed the resolution will be sent to the Central government, reinforcing the state’s commitment to development post-bifurcation in 2014.

Today, On 24th October, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal announced Justice Siddaiah Rachaiah’s appointment as a permanent judge of the Karnataka High Court. Additionally, three lawyers, Maheswara Rao Kuncheam, Thoota Chandra Dhana Sekar, and Challa Gunaranjan, were appointed as judges of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, approved by the central government.
