BREAKING | Supreme Court of India Recruitment 2025: Apply for High-Paying Jobs Now - Rs 78,800/Monthly Salary

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court of India has invited online applications from eligible Indian citizens for various job posts. This is done under the official order dated 01 July 2025. Candidates who qualify as per eligibility on 01 July 2025 can apply for the jobs listed below.

There are 22 total vacancies in different posts in the Supreme Court Registry. Each post has different qualifications, age limits, pay levels, and exam patterns.


1. Assistant Editor, Supreme Court Reports (5 Posts – UR Category)

Pay: Rs 78,800 basic pay + other allowances (Pay Level 12)
Age: 30 to 40 years

Qualification:

  • Law degree from a recognized Indian university or
  • Member of the English Bar or
  • Attorney of High Court in India
  • Knowledge of computers is must

Experience:
Minimum 3 years in any of these roles:

  • Advocate in High Court/Supreme Court
  • Judicial post
  • Law research in university or institute
  • Law reporter/editorial staff of reputed journal
  • Lecturer in Law
  • Supreme Court/High Court staff (minimum 7 years; 4 in Class-II gazetted post)

Exam Pattern:

  • Written Test:
    • Part A: Precis Writing & Editorial Skills (100 marks, 2 hours)
    • Part B: Law & Constitution (100 marks, 2 hours)
  • Interview: 25 marks


2. Assistant Director (Ex-cadre), Supreme Court Museum (1 Post – UR)

Pay: Rs 67,700 basic pay + other allowances (Pay Level 11)
Age: 30 to 40 years

Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree in Museology (First Class)
  • Good knowledge of Indian antiquities, museum techniques, publications, and educational work
  • Computer skills in related field

Experience:
Minimum 5 years of research in a top museum or similar place. Must have published work.

Exam Pattern:

  • Written Test:
    • General English, GK, Aptitude (30 marks)
    • Museology, Archaeology, History (70 marks)
  • Computer Test: Qualifying only
  • Interview: 25 marks


3. Senior Court Assistant (Ex-cadre), Supreme Court Museum (2 Posts – UR)

Pay: Rs 47,600 basic pay + other allowances (Pay Level 8)
Age: Up to 35 years

Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree in Museology (minimum 55%)
  • Computer knowledge

Experience:
Minimum 2 years in:

  • Museology work with exhibitions or education programs or
  • Working in a museum as Assistant Curator or higher

Exam Pattern:

  • Written Test:
    • General English, GK, Aptitude (30 marks)
    • Museology, Archaeology, History (70 marks)
  • Computer Test: Qualifying only
  • Interview: 25 marks


4. Assistant Librarian (14 Posts – UR:10, SC:3, ST:1)

Pay: Rs 47,600 basic pay + other allowances (Pay Level 8)
Age: Up to 30 years

Qualification:

  • Degree in Library Science
  • Diploma in Computer Application (AICTE/DOEACC) or Library Automation Course
  • Must know how to operate library software, cataloging, acquisition, circulation, online/offline search tools

Experience:
Minimum 2 years in a recognized university or law library

Exam Pattern:

  • Written Test:
    • General English, GK, Aptitude (30 marks)
    • Library Management (70 marks)
  • Computer Test: 100 marks (1 hour)
  • Interview: 25 marks

Age Relaxation

As per Government of India rules, relaxation in age is available for SC, ST, OBC, PwD, Ex-Servicemen, and Freedom Fighter dependents. No age relaxation for non-Supreme Court employees working in other departments.


How Candidates Will Be Selected

Assistant Editor:
Only those who pass the written test will be called for interview, in the ratio of 1:3 per vacancy.

Other Posts:
First, shortlisted candidates will appear for the computer test (1:10 ratio). Those who qualify will be called for interview (1:3 ratio).


Reservation Policy

Reservation will be given to SC/ST/PwD/Ex-servicemen/Freedom Fighter dependents as per government rules. The Chief Justice of India can modify or make exceptions to these rules.


Application Process

✅ Apply online only through the Supreme Court’s website: www.sci.gov.in
✅ Application fee per post:

  • Rs 1500 for General/OBC
  • Rs 750 for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/Differently Abled/Dependent of Freedom Fighters
    ✅ Fees must be paid online only through UCO Bank’s payment gateway.
    ❌ Applications by post or offline mode will be rejected.
    ✅ Separate applications must be submitted for each post.


Test Cities

Written and computer-based tests will be conducted in:

  • Delhi/NCR
  • Mumbai
  • Kolkata
  • Chennai

Interview will be held only in Delhi. Candidates can choose test cities in order of preference.


Important General Instructions

  • Admit cards will only be available online; no hard copies will be sent.
  • Keep mobile number and email active for all alerts.
  • “Candidates working in government must provide a No Objection Certificate at the time of interview.”
  • “Application once submitted cannot be withdrawn or modified.”
  • “Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.”
  • “If a candidate submits more than one application, only the latest one will be accepted.”
  • “Misconduct, false documents, or wrong information will lead to cancellation and permanent disqualification.”
  • “Candidates will be removed or disqualified at any stage, even after appointment, if they are found guilty of impersonation or forgery.”
  • “Any disputes will be settled under the jurisdiction of Delhi.”
