Justice Surya Kant responded by explaining the week’s schedule, stating,
“This week is miscellaneous. As it is so a problem. We will definitely list it next week.”
He emphasized that, given the nature of the proceedings, it wouldn’t be possible to address the matter this week.
Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal, also involved in the case, proposed that some issues could be resolved in the interim, saying,
“At least issues can be sorted out.”
In response to Sibal’s suggestion, Justice Surya Kant assured that the case would be heard soon and confirmed,
“We will list on July 31.”
He also mentioned the judges who would be on the bench for the hearing, adding,
“This has me, Justices Bhuyan, Kotiswar Singh.”
This exchange indicates the Supreme Court’s commitment to prioritizing the PMLA review case while managing its regular schedule of miscellaneous hearings.
The court has officially decided to take up the matter on July 31, with a three-judge bench that includes Justice Surya Kant, Justice J B Pardiwala (if changed), and Justice S V Bhatti or others as finalized later, providing clarity to both parties involved.
