The Supreme Court refused to suspend the sentence of a cardiologist convicted of sexually assaulting his seven-year-old daughter, calling him a “perverse guy” and emphasizing that such offenders deserve no relief. The bench also noted the crime occurred while the accused was drunk.

New Delhi: Today, On May 29, the Supreme Court made a strong statement saying, “Man becomes a beast after drinking,” while refusing to hear the plea of a cardiologist who wanted the suspension of his sentence.

The doctor was convicted for sexually assaulting his own seven-year-old daughter.

A bench of Justices B V Nagarathna and Satish Chandra Sharma clearly showed that they would not give any relief to the doctor.

The court said,

“See, the kind of things he has done to the child. You do not deserve any relief.”

The child had made statements against her father, and the judges called him

“a perverse guy, not entitled to any suspension.”

The court also pointed out that “They were drunk” at the time of the crime.

The Supreme Court’s decision shows that crimes against children, especially by close family members, will be dealt with strictly, and the courts will not tolerate any attempts to avoid punishment.

This ruling sends a strong message that justice must be served and the safety of children is of the highest priority.

The court’s refusal to suspend the sentence means the convicted person must face the full consequences of his actions without delay.
