New Delhi: The ongoing battle over the real NCP’ has taken a legal turn as the faction led by Ajit Pawar moves to the Supreme Court, seeking resolution and clarity in the matter. This setback comes in response to the recent caveat filed by Ajit Pawar’s faction, signaling a proactive stance to safeguard their interests amidst the escalating dispute within the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
Ajit Pawar’s faction has initiated legal action by approaching the Apex Court, aiming to address the controversy surrounding the authentic identity of the NCP. This move escalates the deep-rooted tensions and divisions within the party, highlighting the significance of resolving the dispute through judicial intervention.

The Sharad Pawar group declared they would file an appeal with the Supreme Court, while the Ajit Pawar faction rejoiced over the decision.

In July of last year, Ajit Pawar left the NCP with most of its MLAs and backed the Maharashtra BJP-Shiv Sena government headed by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Two days prior to his and eight other MLAs taking the oath of office as ministers in the Shinde government, he had filed the petition with the EC.
