NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court of India will conduct its first-ever National Lok Adalat, set to run from July 29 to August 3. This initiative aims to expedite the resolution of pending cases through reconciliation and reduce the judicial backlog. During a press conference on Saturday, District and Sessions Judge Rajesh Narayan Sevak Pandey announced the dates and explained the scope of this special session. He emphasized that this effort would include preliminary sessions in various districts, including Bhagalpur.
“Five specific cases from Bhagalpur have been identified for this purpose,”

“Parties involved in these cases will first attempt to reach an agreement through video conferencing facilitated by members of the District Legal Services Authority. Should a consensus be reached, these cases will then be presented before the Supreme Court.”
