Assam court sends two members of Zubeen Garg’s band to 14-day police remand amid ongoing investigation. They were present on the yacht where the singer-composer tragically died.
An Assam court has ordered a 14-day police remand for Shekharjyoti Goswami and Amritprabha Mahanta, members of the late Zubeen Garg’s band, in connection with the singer-composer’s death.
The duo was arrested on Thursday following extended questioning by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

According to Munna Prasad Gupta, the Special Director General of Police for the CID,
“The interrogation of all the four arrested accused is underway. I cannot share anything more at this moment.”
Goswami and Mahanta were present on the yacht in Singapore where Garg died on September 19 while swimming in the sea.
Authorities have already invoked murder charges against Garg’s manager, Siddharth Sharma, and festival organiser, Shyamkanu Mahanta, who were arrested in Delhi on Wednesday.
The investigation is ongoing, and further details are awaited.
