The bail application was heard by Judicial Magistrate (First Class) Sunil Kumar, where Malhotra was represented by advocate Kumar Mukesh. However, after hearing both sides, the judge turned down the request for her release.
During the hearing, the police strongly objected to granting bail, stating that the investigation is still ongoing. They argued that if Malhotra is released at this stage, it might negatively affect the ongoing probe.
