A woman from Mumbai filed a lawsuit claiming that Gorakhpur BJP MP Ravi Kishan is her biological father. She requested a DNA test to establish paternity and seeks legal recognition as Kishan’s daughter. The case is set to be heard in court soon, highlighting a public dispute involving the actor-politician. This legal action comes amidst allegations and counterclaims from both parties involved.

Mumbai: A 25-year-old woman filed a civil suit in a Mumbai court on Saturday against BJP’s Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan, claiming that he is her biological father and requesting a DNA test. In the suit, Shinova urged the court to officially recognize her as the biological daughter of actor-politician Kishan, born from his relationship with Aparna Soni. She seeking a permanent injunction to prevent Kishan from denying her paternity in any way. Additionally, she petitioned the Bombay High Court to quash an FIR filed against Soni and others in Uttar Pradesh after she publicly disclosed Kishan as her “biological father.”

Three days ago, the case filed in the capital of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, under several IPC sections including 120B (criminal conspiracy), 195 (giving or fabricating false evidence), 386 (extortion), and 504 (intentional insult) based on the complaint lodged by Kishan’s wife, Priti Shukla.

In the writ petition filed by Shinova through advocates Ashok Sarogi and Jay Yadav, it mentioned that despite no events occurring in Lucknow, the FIR lodged there. This despite Shinova, as well as Shukla and Kishan, being residents of Mumbai.

According to her civil suit filed in Dindoshi court in Malad, Soni interacted with various individuals from the film industry, including Ravi Kishan, in her role as a journalist. The petition states that Soni and Kishan began a relationship and married in 1991 but unable to live together for long due to personal issues. Shinova born on October 19, 1998, but it later revealed that Kishan already married, as claimed in the petition.

The plea stated,

“In light of these circumstances, it appears that Kishan and Soni mutually agreed that their child would refer to the actor as ‘uncle’,”

The plea alleged,

“At all relevant times, the duo ensured her well-being,” the woman stated in her plea. “However, during a recent visit by Shinova and Soni to extend best wishes for the upcoming Lok Sabha poll, the BJP leader behaved inappropriately and declined to meet them,”

The plea stated,

“As a result, they conducted a press conference to inform the public about Shinova’s rights as the biological daughter of Kishan,”

The woman requested a permanent injunction to prevent Kishan from denying her as his biological daughter in any way.

The case in Dindoshi court is scheduled for a hearing on April 25, while the writ petition expected to be brought before the Bombay High Court next week.
