The Saket Court’s Additional Sessions Judge Sheetal Chaudhary Pradhan passed the order around 1 AM Wednesday, after proceedings that extended late into Tuesday night. The judge stated that the ED had adhered to the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and emphasized the seriousness of the allegations.
Siddiqui, who also serves as the managing trustee of the Faridabad-based university, came under scrutiny following a car blast near the Red Fort, which resulted in the tragic death of 12 people. His arrest is part of an ongoing probe into alleged terror financing and money laundering.
The university has drawn attention from authorities after three doctors associated with Al-Falah University were identified as suspects in the attack. Investigators are examining whether the institution played a role in funding or facilitating terrorist activities.
The ED investigation is focusing on tracing the financial networks allegedly linked to terror operations, while the Delhi Police continue to probe the terror angle behind the Red Fort blast.

Background and Previous Developments
On November 10, 2025, a powerful explosion occurred near the Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi around 6:52 PM, when a white Hyundai i20 stopped at a traffic signal near Gate 1. The blast killed at least 13 people and injured several others, setting nearby vehicles ablaze and shattering windows in the busy Chandni Chowk area, causing widespread panic among locals and tourists.
Investigators later identified the deceased driver of the explosive-laden car as Umar un Nabi, an assistant professor at Al-Falah University, Faridabad. The car had changed ownership multiple times, leading authorities to detain former owners and suspects linked to the attack.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken the lead in the case, examining 73 witnesses, seizing multiple vehicles, and coordinating with Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir police, along with other central agencies. Key arrests include Amir Rashid Ali and Jasir Bilal Wani, alleged conspirators who aided in procuring and modifying vehicles and explosives used in the attack.
The investigation is registered as RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI, with multiple leads being pursued to uncover the broader network behind the Red Fort blast.
Following the attack, Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a high-level security meeting, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences, assuring that authorities are assisting the affected and investigating all possibilities.
