Today, On 31st May, In the Pune Porsche accident case, the father and grandfather of the accused minor have been remanded to 14 days of judicial custody. The incident involved a high-speed collision causing significant public concern. Authorities have detained the family members to facilitate further investigation. This legal action underscores the seriousness of the case and the pursuit of accountability.
Pune: The court remanded the father and grandfather of the minor accused in the Pune car accident case to judicial custody for 14 days. The accident, which occurred on the night of May 19, resulted in the deaths of two IT professionals who riding a motorcycle when the minor’s luxury car collided with them, killing them instantly.
Additionally, the Pune Police Crime Branch filed a production application before the Pune District Court for the father of the minor accused in the first FIR (First Information Report). The charges in this FIR now include Section 120B, which relates to criminal conspiracy.

The same FIR (First Information Report) regarding the alleged blood sample manipulation case led to the arrests of multiple doctors and a staff member, who are currently in police custody.
Earlier this week, the Pune District Court ordered the father and grandfather of the accused individuals involved in the Pune car accident case to be held in police custody until May 31.
Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar previously stated that efforts underway to try the minor accused as an adult in this case. He also confirmed that an attempt made to frame the person employed as the driver of the Porsche car after the accident, and added that the police investigating this person’s statement further.
According to the complaint filed by the driver, Gangadhar, taken against his will to the home of a minor on the night of May 19, after leaving the Yerawada Police Station. The minor’s grandfather and father allegedly threatened Gangadhar, seized his phone, and forcibly confined him in their bungalow, in an attempt to compel him to take responsibility for a crime instead of the minor.
The accused individual, who is a minor, has been detained at an observation home on the order of the Juvenile Justice Board. The minor initially granted bail in the case, later sent to the observation home for 14 days, until June 5.
A Pune court has sent father and four individuals to police custody until May 24. The incident, which resulted in the tragic deaths of two software engineers, sparked widespread outrage and brought to light issues of underage drinking and negligent driving.
The Police have arrested Naman Bhutada, owner of Cosie Hotel, bar counter manager Sachin Katkar, and Blak club manager Sachin Sangle. These individuals are accused of serving alcohol to a juvenile, who later caused the fatal accident. The father of the juvenile has also been arrested, although he has yet to be presented in court for custody.
