A Mumbai court denied a plea requesting a DNA test for BJP candidate Ravi Kishan. The plea was rejected by the court, indicating that the request for DNA testing was not granted.

Mumbai: Today (26th April): A Mumbai court reserved its decision regarding a DNA test in the high-profile paternity case involving the BJP’s Gorakhpur candidate and actor, Ravi Kishan. A woman named Aparna Soni, also known as Aparna Thakur claimed that Ravi Kishan is the father of her 25-year-old daughter, Shinova.

The court proceedings have been underway, with both parties presenting their arguments.

The Dindoshi Sessions Court in Mumbai has reserved its decision on conducting a DNA test as requested by Shinova, who claims that Ravi Kishan is her biological father. During the hearing, Ravi Kishan’s lawyer, Ameet Mehta, argued that there was no relationship beyond friendship between the actor and Aparna Soni. The court has scheduled the announcement of its decision for April 26.

Background
Aparna Soni, a resident of Mumbai, alleged that Ravi Kishan
pregnant her daughter, Shinova, and was denying his responsibilities as a father. She claimed that they had been in a relationship after connecting through the film industry. However, Ravi Kishan’s lawyer emphasized that they were only good friends due to their shared profession.

Shinova’s plea, presented by advocate Ashok Saraogi, seeks a paternity test to establish the truth. Saraogi stated that Aparna Soni got married in 1991 but left her matrimonial home in 1995 due to disputes. He claimed that Aparna Soni and Ravi Kishan fell in love and had a relationship, resulting in Shinova’s birth. The lawyer highlighted that Ravi Kishan had initially been involved in taking care of Shinova but had recently denied their relationship and stopped providing support.

Meanwhile, Ravi Kishan’s wife, Preeti Shukla, has filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Aparna Soni and Shinova in Lucknow. Based on the complaint, the police have registered an FIR against six individuals, including Aparna Soni, her husband Rajesh Soni, daughter Shinova, son Saunak Soni, Samajwadi Party leader Vivek Kumar Pandey, and journalist Khurshid Khan. The charges include various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
