A Delhi court has extended police custody of Qasim and Haseen by 7 days for allegedly spying for Pakistan. They will now be produced before the court on June 12.

NEW DELHI: Today, on June 5 a local Delhi court has extended the police custody of two men, Qasim and Haseen, who were earlier arrested on allegations of spying for Pakistan. The extension has been granted for seven more days.
Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Shriya Agrawal passed the order on Thursday, after both the accused were presented before the court following the end of their earlier police custody.

The judge directed the investigating authorities to produce the accused before the court again on June 12.
The two individuals were taken into custody earlier by the police over suspicions that they were involved in gathering and sharing sensitive information with Pakistan’s intelligence services.
This case is being handled with high seriousness due to its national security implications.
The police had requested an extension in their custody to continue the interrogation and gather more evidence.
Based on the investigation’s current status, the court found it appropriate to grant a further extension of seven days.
