Two engineers died within 48 hours after a hair transplant in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The accused doctor, Anushka Tiwari, surrendered months later and was sent to jail.
Kanpur: Today, On May 26, Two engineers named Vinit Kumar Dubey and Pramod Katiyar died within 48 hours after undergoing a hair transplant surgery in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
The doctor responsible, Anushka Tiwari, who was missing for some time, surrendered to the local court on Monday. After her surrender, the police sent her to jail.
Vinit Kumar Dubey’s wife, Jaya Tripathi, filed a police complaint on May 9.
she said,
The surgery happened on March 13, and her husband passed away on March 15 at a different hospital,
At first, the police did not take the case seriously, according to Ms. Tripathi, which caused the delay in filing the complaint.
She then approached the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell, after which the police finally registered the case on May 9.
Dilip Singh, a government lawyer said,
“There are serious allegations against Anushka Tiwari. Anushka Tiwari has performed surgery, which is not related to her field. We have sufficient evidence in this regard. A case has been registered in Kakadev police station. Prima facie Anushka Tiwari is guilty. Today Dr. Anushka Tiwari has surrendered in court. After her surrender, she has been sent to jail,”
In her complaint, Ms. Tripathi explained that on March 14 she received a call informing her that her husband’s face had swollen.
She tried to contact the doctor but did not get any response.

she said, adding that she has the call recording as proof,
“We called again Dr Anushka Tiwari the same night around 11 and she admitted that she performed the surgery without a test,”
After seeing her husband’s condition worsen, Ms. Tripathi transferred him to another hospital where he died on March 15. Since that day, the doctor Anushka Tiwari had gone missing.
a senior police officer said,
“A woman has complained that her husband died during a hair transplant surgery. A preliminary investigation was conducted in which a complaint was lodged against a doctor. Scientific evidence is being collected,”

This case has raised many questions about medical practices and the responsibility of doctors performing surgeries outside their expertise. The accused doctor is now in custody as the investigation continues.
