The inaugural All India Judges Badminton Championship ended on Sunday at Thyagraj Stadium in New Delhi. The two-day event brought together more than 70 High Court judges from across the country, making it a unique mix of competition, fitness, and camaraderie among members of the judiciary.

The tournament created an energetic atmosphere as judges participated with enthusiasm and displayed impressive sporting spirit.

The event was organised on November 29 and 30 through a collaboration between the Union Law Ministry’s Department of Justice and the Supreme Court of India. With its success, the tournament is expected to become an annual sports tradition for the Indian judiciary.

The championship was formally inaugurated by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant. During the ceremony, CJI Surya Kant highlighted the importance of leisure and sports for judges.

A formal dinner for all participating judges was hosted by Justice Vikram Nath on November 29, adding a social touch to the event. The closing ceremony was attended by former Chief Justice of India BR Gavai along with Justice Nath.
