NEW DELHI: A shocking incident took place at Karkardooma Court in Delhi last Monday when, the incident led to an FIR being registered against the accused advocate, Shahrukh Saifi, and his supporters.
According to reports, this incident is linked to an old dispute between the SHO and some lawyers at Kamla Market police station. A few months ago, the SHO allegedly slapped a lawyer during an argument at the police station.
On Monday, when the lawyer and the SHO met again in the court premises, the situation escalated, leading to the physical assault.
The victim, 54-year-old Inspector CL Meena, is posted at Kamla Market police station. On Monday morning, he had gone to Karkardooma Court to attend a hearing related to a fraud case registered at Shakarpur police station in 2014.
After attending the hearing in Court No. 32, he was returning around 11:30 am when the accused lawyer and his associates allegedly confronted him.
As per the FIR, the accused and his associates surrounded Inspector CL Meena near the court complex building. It is alleged that they then physically attacked him. During the scuffle, both of the inspector’s mobile phones fell on the ground.
Following the incident, the SHO lodged an FIR against lawyer Shahrukh Saifi and his associates.
