Today, On 24th April, Advocate Vineet Jindal urges PM Modi to take decisive and uncompromising action following the Pahalgam terror attack, warning it will not be the last without strong measures. He stresses the need for firm steps to ensure national security.
New Delhi: Supreme Court advocate Vineet Jindal has penned a compelling letter to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, urging prompt and decisive action against Pakistan and its terrorist factions in the wake of the recent brutal attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
In his letter, Advocate Jindal expressed profound sorrow and strong sentiments, stating,
“With great sorrow, outrage, and unbreakable resolve, I write to express the collective grief and anger of countless Indians following the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam.”
He emphasized that this attack was not only violent but specifically targeted innocent civilians based on their religion, noting,
“In this brutal act, innocent Hindu civilians were reportedly singled out, asked their names, and executed, targeted purely on the basis of their faith.”
Jindal characterized the attack as part of a broader scheme, declaring,
“This was not just a heinous act of violence; it was a premeditated, religiously motivated massacre aimed at sowing fear and division.”
He explicitly identified the groups behind the violence, stating,
“There is no ambiguity about the perpetrators. The Resistance Front (TRF), a known proxy of the internationally proscribed terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), has openly claimed responsibility.”
He further asserted,
“These terror outfits, nurtured and protected by Pakistan’s ISI, continue to exploit Pakistani soil as a base to orchestrate such acts of cowardice and brutality against Indian citizens.”
Advocate Jindal cautioned that without strong government intervention, such attacks would persist.
“This is not the first attack, and without decisive and uncompromising action, it will certainly not be the last.”
He urged the government to look to successful global examples of combating terrorism.
“We must draw strength from global precedents. After the 9/11 attacks, the United States responded with swift and uncompromising action against the masterminds and their enablers. It demonstrated that terrorism against its people would be met with overwhelming force and resolve.”
Describing this moment as pivotal for India, he remarked,
“India now faces its own moment of reckoning.”
In his letter, Advocate Jindal expressed three strong demands on behalf of the Indian people:
We, the people, demand,
1. Immediate and targeted military action: including airstrikes or surgical strikes—on identified terrorist camps operated by TRF and LeT in Pakistan-occupied territories.
2. A relentless diplomatic campaign: to formally designate Pakistan as a State Sponsor of Terrorism at global forums such as the United Nations and the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
3. A crackdown on internal collaborators: swift identification, arrest, and prosecution of TRF and LeT sympathizers operating within Jammu & Kashmir.”
This letter reflects the rising frustration among citizens and legal advocates regarding the ongoing terrorist threats to India, particularly those with religious motivations.
Advocate Jindal’s call to action emphasizes the need for the Indian government to implement immediate military, diplomatic, and legal measures against those responsible for such atrocities and their supporters, both domestically and internationally.
This appeal is considered a significant legal and public demand for a robust and urgent response to terrorism, safeguarding the safety and dignity of every Indian citizen.
